About This Guide
On this site, you will find a series of tutorials developed by the librarians at Atlantic Cape to help students, especially those in online classes, to successfully navigate the library research process and produce papers that are thoroughly researched, based on authoritative sources, and properly documented. The tutorials are currently in the process of being reviewed by instructors and tested by students, in order to improve and refine them before they are distributed to a wider audience. More tutorials will be added to this site as they become available.
At the present time, these tutorials are primarily created using Microsoft PowerPoint. They are self-paced, but not highly interactive, and do not include audio components. The libraries look forward to being able to offer more media-rich interactive files in the near future.
To review or use one of these tutorials, please select the appropriate tab, above, and download the tutorial. The file should open in Microsoft PowerPoint. If you do not have ready access to the MS Office suite, you can download the free PowerPoint viewer in order to open the files.
Some of the tutorials have links to screen videos in Flash format. You can download the most recent Flash player at no cost.
Please add your constructive comments and suggestions using the Comments box at the bottom of each page. Your assistance with this project is much appreciated.
